Objective of the IOBCr is to promote research and practical applications of biological crystallization. It organises and supports interdisciplinary workshops and schools that foster professional contacts and mutual education between (bio-)crystallographers, (bio-)chemists, (bio-)physicists, and engineers. The IOBCr also organises the biannual International Conferences on Crystallization of Biological Macromolecules (upcoming: ICCBM14, Huntsville (Alabama)).
